CisionPoint and Cision Social Media Dashboard Selected Finalists for 2010 CODiE Awards

Cision PR Workflow Software and Social Media Monitor Among Best in ‘Vertical Market Business Content’ and ‘Social Media Aggregation Services’

CHICAGO, IL, December 11, 2009 – Cision, the leading provider of media research, distribution, monitoring and analysis services to the public relations industry and other communicators, today announced that its CisionPoint PR workflow software and Cision Social Media Dashboard have been selected as finalists for the 2010 CODiE Awards.

CisionPoint, an award-winning integrated, on-demand communication management solution, is a 2010 finalist for Best Vertical Market Business Content. The Cision Social Media Dashboard, a self-service portal that delivers real-time access to social media coverage along with advanced reporting and analysis tools, is a finalist in the Best Social Media Aggregation Service category.

Established in 1986 and presented by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), the CODiE Awards celebrate outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital information and education technology industries. The SIIA announced finalists in content-related categories based on a unique combination of journalist and expert-peer review. Winners will be announced on January 26, 2010.

“With the rise of social media, a new global community has formed that embraces PR and communications professionals, journalists, bloggers, marketers and influential online voices,” said Hans Gieskes, president and CEO of Cision. “Cision tools and technology are critical enablers of the conversations that bind, strengthen and expand this community.”

“Being named a CODiE Award finalist is further evidence that CisionPoint and the Cision Social Media Dashboard are state-of-the-art tools that help create a common ground where people can find each other, connect, easily share new content, quickly locate critical information, and have more productive conversations,” Mr. Gieskes said.

“This is the twenty-fifth year we have recognized excellence through the CODiE Awards program, and the ninth year we have offered awards in the content categories,” noted Ken Wasch, president of SIIA. “The competition is tough, as many companies are looking to make their products stand out from the competition. The innovations in the content industry shine through in the products selected as finalists, and we are very excited to see how the voting goes this year.”
