The past nine years at Cision have been an amazing ride, as I’ve seen our industry evolve. Today I’m pleased to accept the role of President and CEO of Cision AB. For Cision specifically, we have transformed from media directories and clipping services to a leader in developing fully-integrated, real-time tools and services to help our clients tell their stories. We have seen the rise of social media and how it has transformed the way we communicate and how we work, which has fueled a convergence of paid, earned and owned media, with a focus on content, community and native advertising.
But as I tell our employees here, our transformation is not complete, Cision will continue to evolve as our industry evolves. So what’s next for Cision? We want to continue to focus on the Public Relations industry and provide the tools and analytics to help PR and Marketing professionals better do their job. We want to help PR play a large role in content marketing, driving leads for sales and overall brand engagement. We’re dedicated to providing the technology, content and services to help our customers tell their stories. I’m confident that our vast experience in the PR industry combined with the great feedback we get from our customers will position us well to keep up with the changes happening across the entire media industry.
I’m honored and excited to take on this new role at Cision and will continue to challenge my organization to stay connected with our customers and identify and address their needs.
