The New York Times Magazine has named Sasha Weiss as its new culture editor. In this role she will oversee coverage of film, television, books, fine arts, theater and music. Weiss served as the story editor for the magazine since 2014. Prior to that she was the literary editor for The New Yorker.

Thomas Moore has departed the Las Vegas Sun and will be pursuing freelance opportunities. The gaming industry reporter had been with the outlet since 2016, and was a digital producer for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The Washington Post welcomes Max Boot as an opinion columnist. He will be covering national security, American government and foreign affairs. Author of three books on military history, Boot is also a contributing editor for The Weekly Standard.

Former New Jersey governor and US presidential candidate Chris Christie joins ABC News as a political analyst. He ended his term as governor of News Jersey on January 16, 2018.

Women’s Wear Daily has brought on Thomas Waller as fashion market editor overseeing accessories coverage. Waller has had previous stints at InStyle and Allure as accessories editor.

Jennifer Meckles has decamped from KSDK-TV to join KUSA-TV in Denver. Meckles joined the NBC affiliate in St. Louis in 2014, after serving as weekend anchor and reporter for WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee.

WFLD-TV has parted ways with Jenny Milkowski. She had been providing traffic reports for Good Morning Chicago since 2013, and was known as a top social media influencer for the Chicago FOX affiliate.
