Cision to Integrate Best-in-Class Social Media Monitoring Into Award-Winning CisionPoint PR Workflow Software Solution

Integration of Radian6 Technology to Allow CisionPoint Users to Track Social Media, Online News, Print and Broadcast Using a Single Platform

CHICAGO, IL, April 20, 2010 – Cision, the leading provider of software, services and tools for the media and public relations industry, today announced that it will integrate best-in-class social media monitoring technology into the spring release of its award-winning CisionPoint PR workflow software solution.

With the integration of Radian6 social media monitoring technology, CisionPoint will become the first PR workflow platform in the market to include complete social media coverage, online news, print and broadcast monitoring.

CisionPoint users will be able to monitor over 100 million online sites and sources, from blogs and comments to photos, videos, forums, public Facebook groups, and Twitter. They also will be able to track social media conversations in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Finnish, Japanese, Korean, Simple Chinese and Russian.

Enhanced CisionPoint Analytics will help users chart frequency, tone and reach of social media conversations along with analysis of print, broadcast and online media results. Integrated social media metrics – such as the number of inbound links, views, comments, Twitter followers, or citations on news sharing/bookmarking sites – will enable them to quantify the impact of, and help measure return on investment from, social media communication.

“Our spring 2010 release – the ninth quarterly upgrade to the CisionPoint on-demand platform since its debut in late 2007 – incorporates the world’s best social media monitoring capability, from Radian6, into the world’s premier PR workflow solution from Cision,” said Hans Gieskes, group president and chief executive officer of Cision.

“With it, CisionPoint will offer in one, integrated application – through a single, easy to use dashboard – best-in-class social media monitoring, media research, broadcast and print monitoring, and media analysis tools,” Mr. Gieskes said. “No other PR software offers CisionPoint’s breadth of integrated, best of breed capabilities.”

About CisionPoint:
Launched in the United States in October 2007, CisionPoint rapidly became the fastest growing on-demand PR workflow dashboard application, with more than 5,000 customers signed in its first 24 months of sales. Cision is currently rolling out CisionPoint as the standard on-demand platform for its customers worldwide, including Fortune 500 corporations, global public relations firms, non-profit organizations, universities, and small businesses.

In February 2010, CisionPoint was named a finalist as Best Content Management solution in the 2010 CODiE Awards, sponsored by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA). The selection marks CisionPoint’s fifth selection as a CODiE Award finalist – out of a maximum of six possible selections – since 2009, the first year during which CisionPoint was eligible for entry. It has been a finalist in four distinct categories (Best Content Management Solution, Best Online News Service, Best Vertical Market Business Content and Best On-Demand Platform) during that period, and was the winner of the 2009 CODiE Award as Best Online News Service.

Cision and Radian6 first started working together in October 2008, with the development of the award-winning Cision Social Media Dashboard – which was selected Best Social Media Aggregation Service in the content division of the 2010 CODiE Awards.
