Cision Integrates UK Self-Service TV and Radio Monitoring Into CisionPoint PR Software

CHICAGO, IL, September 22, 2010 – Cision, the leading provider of software, services and tools for the media and public relations industry, today announced that it has integrated self-service broadcast media monitoring capability from the UK into its award-winning CisionPoint on-demand PR software solution.

PR professionals can now access near real-time, self-service TV and radio coverage search with streaming video and audio within hours of airing for the UK as well as coverage in the US and Canada. CisionPoint customers can now use keywords to search the database for any subject sourced from 130 UK national and local TV and radio stations, in addition to US and Canadian national, cable and local stations.

This content and functionality gives PR professionals unprecedented flexibility in the way they search for broadcast coverage for their own clients, as well as facilitating the research of key influencers and relevant topics. CisionPoint stores broadcast coverage online, and can be searched for up to 90 days from airing.

“Since its introduction in the US almost three years ago, CisionPoint has consistently added greater functionality and higher performance, as well as global capabilities,” noted Joe Bernardo, President and CEO of Cision North America. “The integration of self-service monitoring and search capabilities for British television and radio content further establishes CisionPoint as a superior tool for PR professionals who must plan worldwide campaigns, contact and communicate with global media and outlets, and monitor and analyze coverage.”

The self-service broadcast is integrated into other functions that enable CisionPoint users to build and manage targeted distribution lists, issue press releases, integrate monitoring results with other media content – such as print, internet and social media – and analyze the results via sharable charts, lists and reports.
