Exits & Endings: Nicole Wallace announces her exit from The View after one season, following Rosie Perez (Mediaite); TLC has cancelled the Duggars and ’19 Kids & Counting’ following the molestation scandal (USA Today); and the National Journal will shut down its weekly print magazine and reduce newsroom size (Capital)
What’s Now/Next: The Wrap and Hearst Newspapers strike a print/digital content partnership (Capital); Vice and Verizon partner up for Verizon’s forthcoming mobile video venture (AdWeek); Lena Dunham will start a biweekly lifestyle newsletter, ‘Lenny’ (The Cut); CNN Digital starts telling “Great American Stories,” offering human interest snapshots of America’s oddities (Poynter); and BuzzFeed launches new Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts called Cocoa Butter to help diversify its audience and reach (Poynter).
