  • Motel 6 has chosen Golin Harris to manage its brand’s PR needs. This includes consumer and trade media relations outreach, support with social media programs and crisis management. The account will be led out of the Chicago office by executive director, strategists community, Wendy Love.
  • David Chamberlin rejoined Edelman as executive vice president and general manager of the Dallas office. He will begin his position Feb. 13 after most recently serving as senior vice president and director of issues and crisis management, North America, for MSL Group. Before landing at MSL Group, he was general manager of Edelman’s Shanghai office. He was named to PRWeek’s 40 Under 40 in 2010.
  • Full-service fashion, beauty and lifestyle public relations firm Bollare now calls the newly launched Tailored.co website a client. The site offers brides a personalized shopping experience which allows them to browse and collect inspiration, and also make purchases.
  • Robert Carlton has been named the public relations chief of Metra. He joins the post from Zimini Inc. and has more than 20 years marketing and other experience at Intel, McDonald’s Corp., Ford, GTE and Owens-Illinois.
  • Performance racing company The Hedman Performance Group has named Kahn Media as its agency of record.  Kahn’s work will include announcing new products through traditional and digital media, promoting the company’s heritage and providing event and trade show support.
