We’ve got some exciting news that we just couldn’t wait to share with you–our parent company, Vocus has just announced that Peter Shankman is joining us full time as a VP and small business evangelist! For those of who don’t know, Peter Shankman is the creator of HARO (Help a Reporter Out), which is a service that reporters use to find sources for stories and you use to get free PR by pitching your stories to the queries posted by those reporters. HARO has had tremendous success and we’re proud to have it as part of our three-punch PR and marketing combo: Vocus, PRWeb and HARO.

In his new role with us, Peter will coach small and emerging businesses (just like you!) on ways they can accelerate growth by reaching more buyers. He will work with our team to develop new product ideas, lead webinars and live chats, speak on behalf of us at industry events and oversee a blog dedicated to helping small businesses grow. Read more about Peter’s transition in this news release.

Stay tuned for more information about Peter’s role with Vocus and PRWeb and don’t forget to congratulate him on his move–we’re ecstatic to have him!

About

I drive go-to-market content, SEO and social strategy for multiple brands at Cision, an earned media software intelligence company.

Your content program is only as good as the stories you are telling. I engage and inspire audiences with interactive and multimedia projects that serve all areas of the funnel and have experience scaling content programs globally to drive brand awareness, leads and revenue for the business. I own our keyword strategy and non-technical SEO for the business.

I revolutionized Cision’s outbound promotion efforts to amplify its inbound lead generation results by creating a multichannel campaign strategy that promotes discoverability, search rank, audience awareness, credibility, and ultimately more topline revenue growth. I also helped with our rebrand and watched Cision go public in 2017.
