Hans Nichols has joined NBC News as a news correspondent based out of the network’s Washington Bureau. He will succeed Jim Miklaszewski, who is retiring at the end of the year as the network’s Pentagon correspondent. Nichols joins NBC from Bloomberg, where he had been serving as an international correspondent based out of Berlin. He also served as Bloomberg’s White House correspondent for five years, and covered Senator McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.
