Kathy Best will join The Missoulian as editor on June 27, 2016. She will also oversee the Ravalli Republic in Hamilton, MT.

Best previously was the editor and vice president of news for The Seattle Times since October 2013. Prior to that, she was the managing editor and digital managing editor for the publication between 2007 and 2013. Best served as the assistant managing editor overseeing Sunday and national news for The Baltimore Sun from 2005 through 2007, after holding positions at St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Seattle Post-Intelligencer and the Quad-City Times.
