Tom Doerr has been named news director at WINK-TV (Fort Meyers, Florida), overseeing all news content and determining which stories get airtime. Doerr was previously vice president and news director for WFLD-TV (Chicago). Prior to that, he was the vice president and news director for KRIV-TV (Houston), vice president and station manager for WFOR-TV (Miami), and acted as the executive news director for KTVT-TV (Dallas/Fort Worth).
