Senior social media editor Scott Kleinberg will bid the Chicago Tribune farewell later this month. He’s headed to New York to serve as director of social media and digital engagement for Mayor Bill de Blasio. Kleinberg was just promoted to senior editor for social media at the Tribune in February 2016, and re-joined the paper in September 2011 after serving as social media director and web editor for the Tribune’s free commuter paper, RedEye. He first joined Tribune in 2005 after a stint with the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Follow the Chicago Tribune on Twitter and ‘Like’ on Facebook for breaking news from the Windy City.
I’m moving to NYC! I’ll be Director of Social Media and Digital Engagement @NYCMayorsOffice. I even used the Statue of Liberty emoji today 🗽
