The Wall Street Journal has announced some new additions and beat changes on its Money & Investing team. Heather Gillers joins the staff from the Chicago Tribune as part of the bonds team, covering municipal bonds. She was previously an investigative reporter for the Tribune. Also new to the WSJ is Stephanie Yang, covering commodities. She was previously an associate producer at CNBC. Sam Goldfarb has also joined the WSJ to cover the debt markets; he was most recently covering corporate bonds for Debtwire.
Several existing WSJ staffers now have reassigned responsibilities, such as Ken Brown, who will be a senior columnist for Money & Investing. He was previously based in Hong Kong, overseeing Asia finance and markets coverage. Also back from Hong Kong is ‘Heard on the Street’ columnist Aaron Back, who shifts his focus on the column to U.S. banks. Aaron Kuriloff, who previously covered municipal bonds and public finance, will now cover stocks. Chelsea Dulaney will now cover currencies, and previously covered corporate earnings and breaking news for the real-time news desk. Lastly, Jon Sindreu of the WSJ London bureau is now a ‘Market Maniac,’ shifting his focus from U.K. economics and the Bank of England to general, global market reporting.
