WLS-TV will soon bid a fond farewell to veteran anchor Ron Magers, whose retirement from the station may come as soon as this summer. Magers joined WLS-TV in 1998 as a reporter and anchor for the 5pm newscast. Prior to coming to Chicago, Magers was an anchor and reproter for WMAQ-TV in Minneapolis since for sixteen years.
