George Spohr has been named news director for the Journal & Courier in Lafayette, Indiana. He moved into the new position from The Times Leader in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he had served as executive editor since September 2013. Before that, he worked for The Sentinel in Carlisle, Pennsylvania as executive editor, and held the same position at The World in Coos Bay, Oregon before that.
