Casey Bloys has been promoted to president of series, late-night and specials at HBO, up from executive vice president of comedy. He takes over duties from Michael Ellenberg, who exited as executive vice president of drama, but will continue working with the network in a production deal. Before joining the network, Ellenberg served as senior vice president of HBO Entertainment, overseeing series such as Game of Thrones, True Blood and Boardwalk Empire.
