ESPN has added four writers to the staff of The Undefeated: Kelley Carter, Michael Fletcher, Soraya Nadia McDonald and Jason Reid.
Carter, an award-winning writer, has joined as a senior writer covering the intersection of race, culture, and sports. Previously, she was a senior entertainment editor for BuzzFeed since September 2014. Before that, Carter was an entertainment editor for Ebony since 2012.
Fletcher comes aboard as a senior writer covering criminal justice, social issues and politics. He comes from the Washington Post where he was a national correspondent since February 2010. Fletcher also served as a White House correspondent, national economics reporter, and White House reporter for The Washington Post.
Additionally, McDonald has taken on the role of senior culture writer. Previously, he served as a night reporter for The Washington Post from February 2014 to March 2015.
Lastly, Reid is a senior NFL writer, covering American football and the NFL. Prior to The Undefeated, he served as a columnist for ESPN since February 2015.
