The Washington Post has moved Karin Brulliard to a new National beat. She will cover the role of animals in everyday lives and their place in human culture. Her work will appear on a forthcoming related, untitled blog. Prior to going on maternity leave, Brulliard was a deputy foreign editor and correspondent covering the Middle East for paper. Additionally, Fredrick Kunkle will be the new transportation blogger for a soon-to-be-launched transportation vertical called Tripping. Kunkle’s musings on all forms of transportation at the local, national and foreign levels will appear there. This will serve as an extension of his role as Dr. Gridlock, a transportation columnist.
