The longtime Time Warner Cable News Austin anchor Paul Brown is departing Capital Tonight where he’s covered national and state politics for the show since 2012. Karina Kling will replace Brown as the new anchor. Brown spent most of his 12 years with TWC as a midday anchor covering breaking news, politics and events in the Austin area. He is stepping away from journalism in order to complete a Ph.D. at the University of Texas and continue to teach at Austin Community College. More updates on Texas politics can be found by following Capital Tonight’s Twitter and Facebook feeds.
