Cision Blog regrets to inform its readers that Austin H. Kiplinger of the Kiplinger’s Washington Editors fame has passed away. He launched Kiplinger’s Personal Finance with his father W. M. Kiplinger in 1947 and became editor in chief of Kiplinger Letters and Changing Times in 1961, succeeding his father. Kiplinger’s Personal Finance is now edited by his son Knight Kiplinger and is the longest continually published personal finance publication in the United States. Kiplinger was 97 and held six honorary degrees. Before he became editor in chief, he worked as a columnist at Chicago Journal of Commerce and was a political newscaster for ABC and NBC News.
