Dan McCarthy is being let go from DigBoston amid a business restructuring. McCarthy has served as the alt-weekly’s editor since October 2013, following a stint as Boston editor for Urban Daddy. Founder and publisher of DigBoston Jeff Lawrence will take over the editorial role for the duration of the restructuring. DigBoston was founded in 1999 as The Weekly Dig, and offers local news, entertainment, arts and culture content to Bostonians .
