General manager Rita Mullin has left the Science channel after a year and a half in the role. She was previously was executive vice president of programming and development for OWN, and served in executive roles for Discovery and TLC. Prior to that, she was an editor with Time-Life Books.
Replacing Mullin as GM is Marc Etkind, who was previously general manager for sister network Destination America. His prior roles include executive and management posts at Animal Planet, Discovery Kids, the History Channel, Pinball Productions and PBS. Jane Latman replaces Etkind as general manager at Destination America. She was previously general manager at Discovery Life Channel, and has held roles ID, Military Channel and Discovery Times Channel.
