Jeffrey Kanige has been named editor in chief for TheStreet and The Deal, for the first time uniting the two sites’ editorial efforts under one top editor. Kanige has served as editor in chief of The Deal since February 2013, and has been with the site since it launched in 1999. He first served as assistant managing editor before a promotion to executive editor in 2009. The previous editor in chief of TheStreet, Janet Guyon, is leaving the organization.
