Austin Beutner is no longer publisher and CEO of the Los Angeles Times and San Diego Union-Tribune. Timothy Ryan, most recently the publisher of the Baltimore Sun Media Group, has been appointed publisher of the California newspapers effective immediately. Beutner joined  the LA Times as publisher in August 2014 and later the Union-Tribune in May 2015. Follow LA Times on Twitter for more local and national news.
