Jia Lynn Yang has been named deputy national security editor at The Washington Post. Yang most recently served as an editor for business and policy stories for the paper and its popular Wonkblog. Additionally, general assignment reporter Abby Ohlheiser will move to the features department to write for WaPo’s The Intersect blog in early October. In the interim, she will part of the team covering Pope Francis’s impending U.S. visit. Oblheiser joined the paper last July.
Thrilled to be starting as WaPo's deputy national security editor next month. Couldn't be more excited about joining such a stellar team.
