The Courier-Journal in Louisville, KY has closed its Washington bureau. James Carroll, who served as Washington correspondent for the paper, stated he is pursuing the “next great adventure in journalism.” Prior to joining the paper, where he garnered eight journalism awards, Carroll worked for 14 years in the same role for Knight-Ridder. He is the author of One of Ourselves: John Fitzgerald Kennedy in Ireland, and The Real Woodrow Wilson: An Interview with Arthur S. Link, Editor of the Wilson Papers.
