Newsweek recently added several staff to its editorial team: Shefali Kulkarni, who was most recently digital producer for the World at Public Radio International, is the new social media and engagement editor. Former Wall Street Journal news editor John Seeley has been named weekend editor. Joanna Brenner, previously a digital producer for the Pew Research Center, is now a producer for Newsweek Online. Cady Drell, who recently served as an editorial assistant for Rolling Stone is now the culture editor. Jessica Firger, former health writer for CBS News Online and Michele Richinick previously a digital writer for MSNBC have both joined the magazine as staff writers.
