Mother Jones has announced several changes to its staff. Monika Bauerlein has been promoted to CEO, up from co-editor and investigative editor after joining the staff in 2000. Clara Jeffery was named editor in chief. She also served as co-editor of the publication since 2006 and joined the magazine as deputy editor in 2002.
Additionally, Maria Streshinsky will join the publication as deputy editor in early June 2015. She was previously editor in chief of Pacific Standard since July 2011. Aaron Wiener is now a senior editor based in Washington. He previously served as a real estate reporter for Washington City Paper and a blogger for the Home Complex since September 2012.
Lastly, Max Rosenthal will join the editorial team as a staff reporter. He most recently served as the digital editor for Public Radio International since June 2014. For more coverage on social, political and environmental issues, follow Mother Jones on Twitter.
