The Washington Post has made major changes, bringing on Kevin Blackistone and David Clarke to the sports and politics sections, and adding Amber Phillips and Janell Ross to The Fix.

Blackistone is currently a panelist for ESPN’s ‘Around The Horn’ and previously served as a columnist for AOL Fanhouse and The Dallas Morning News. He will be a sports contributor for WaPo, and Post TV.

Clarke has been named deputy editor overseeing a new project covering power in Washington. He was most recently a financial services editor for POLITICO and POLITICO Pro, positions he held since July 2012. POLITICO has announced that Clea Benson will take over as financial services editor at POLITICO in June, and comes from Bloomberg News where she served as Housing Policy Reporter.

Phillips and Ross both join The Fix as Election 2016 reporters. Phillips was most recently a Washington correspondent for The Las Vegas Sun, and Ross was a contributor to The National Journal, The Atlantic and TheRoot.com.
