ESPN’s SportsCenter has announced that Scott Van Pelt has signed a multi-year contract extension. He will move into the late-night talk show space as he takes over as solo anchor for the program’s weekday, midnight edition late this summer. Van Pelt currently hosts an afternoon radio show for ESPN Radio that will end as his late-night duties begin. Van Pelt joined ESPN Radio in 2001 as the network’s lead professional golf reporter, and has since moved on to host his own show, and serve as a presenter for SportsCenter.
