SEO. Search Engine Optimization. As marketers, SEO is a major priority and something that we must continually stay on top of. But even with that said, SEO is still a bit of a black box for many.  It often falls under the category of  a “concept we know is important and need to implement, but we’re not really sure what it is or how to use it.”  At Viralheat, we wanted to reach out to SEO experts to to help shed some light on what steps marketers should make to implement SEO to receive a profitable and beneficial outcome.

We recently got a chance to do a Google+ hangout with SEO expert A.J. Ghergich, founder of Ghergich & Co.,  an agency focused on helping clients succeed through SEO-driven content marketing. A.J. brings over a decade of experience with SEO, content marketing, social media, pay per click (PPC), and e-commerce, making him a perfect person to turn to for some SEO advice.

We asked A.J. one simple, yet crucial, question when it comes to using SEO in today’s increasingly social world: How does SEO and social media work together – more specifically, can businesses improve their SEO rankings through social activity? And to further help our efforts, we asked him to give us some tactics that the audience can implement right away.
