Washington City Paper has named Steve Cavendish as the new editor following the departure of editor Mike Madden in March. Cavendish will join the staff full-time in June. He previously served as the news editor for the Nashville Scene and Nashville Post since August 2013. Before that, he was an editor of the City Paper in Nashville, Tennessee since September 2011.
Also, publisher Amy Austin stepped down from the paper this month. Eric Norwood has been named the interim publisher. Austin worked for Washington City Paper for over thirty years serving as publisher since 2003. Follow the Washington City Paper on Google+ for the local news in a city focused on national affairs.
