Veteran publishing executive Jim Hopson has been named interim publisher for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, following the March sale of Stephens Media’s flagship title to New Media Investment Group of New York. Outgoing publisher Mark Ficarra will move on to work with revenue building at GateHouse Media, New Media’s operating company. Hopson retired in 2008 from his role as publisher of the Wisconsin State Journal after many years in journalism, and has since worked with several newspapers post-acquisition. For more news stories, follow Las Vegas Review-Journal on Twitter.
