Meredith Kopit Levien has been named chief revenue officer for The New York Times. She joined the staff in July 2013 as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to this, Kopit Levien served as chief revenue officer at Forbes since 2008.
Also, Ryan J. McCarthy has joined the Times’ audience development team. He was most recently assistant business editor for The Washington Post, serving as editor for Wonkblog and launching the data journalism-fueled Storyline site during his tenure. Prior to this, McCarthy served as deputy editor for Reuters Online since May 2011.

Lastly, Matt Ericson has been promoted to associate editor, guiding presentation for the Times on all platforms. He most recently served as deputy graphics director since March 2003. Before that, Ericson was a senior editor overseeing web applications for The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philly.com.
