Cision Blog regrets to inform its readers that Barbara Strauch has passed away. Strauch joined the The New York Times in 1995 and served through the years as media editor, assistant editor for the national desk, deputy editor for health and science, and most recently was named science editor in March of 2011. Prior to joining the New York Times, Strauch served as business editor and deputy editor for Newsday in Melville, New York, and spent 18 years as a reporter for newspapers in New York, Boston, and Houston.
