James Oliphant is set to join Reuters – Washington Bureau as a political correspondent on April 6. He is currently a White House correspondent for National Journal, and previously served as a deputy editor for the magazine. Prior to joining National Journal in February 2012, he had been a Washington correspondent for the Tribune Washington News Bureau, the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune.
