Bill Whitaker, currently a CBS News senior correspondent based in Los Angeles, will join 60 Minutes as a correspondent in the fall. Having joined CBS News in 1984, he has also reported from Tokyo and Atlanta as a correspondent, and previously worked for WBTV-TV in Charlotte, N.C. He began his career at KQED-TV in San Francisco.
