The Los Angeles Times Online has hired Larry Ingrassia, a veteran business journalist who has served stints at The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, as associate editor overseeing new ventures. His primary focus will be increasing and monetizing the paper’s digital audience. While at NYT, Ingrassia was editor of the Business Day section from 2004 to 2012; he retired from his most recent position of deputy managing editor in December 2014.
