Dan Lyons has been named the editor in chief for Gawker‘s Silicon Valley blog, Valleywag. He was most recently a marketing fellow with HubSpot since April 2013, also writing for the new HBO comedy series, Silicon Valley. Lyons has also served as editor in chief for ReadWrite and oversaw technology and new media coverage as a columnist for Newsweek from 2008 to 2012. He replaces Nitasha Tiku, who recently left Gawker to join The Verge. Hosted by Gawker, Valleywag covers news and gossip from Silicon Valley and the tech industry.
