Jesse Washington, Danielle Cadet and Ryan Cortes have all been named to the editorial staff at ESPN‘s soon-to-launch website helmed by Jason Whitlock focusing on commentary and insight directed towards the African-American audience. Washington will serve as senior writer. He was previously national news reporter for the AP since 2008, covering social issues of race and ethnicity in Philadelphia. Cadet has been named senior editor. She was previously editor of HuffPost Black Voices since November 2012. Cortes will serve as staff writer for the new site.
