Pitch her via e-mail. She prefers that pitches are short, have a local connection, and include a picture that is easily accessible. If the story is about food or products, it is more likely to be printed if a high-resolution photo is attached, Boyle notes. Make sure the subject line of the e-mail states the actual subject of the story. Otherwise, she will delete the e-mail. Send material “at least two weeks in advance, if not three or four,” Boyle says.
