Catherine McVean co-hosts, produces and writes scripts for the “Trips ‘N Tips” program on the Trips ‘N Tips Radio Network. The national program provides “how-to” travel tips and hotel reviews, though it does not discuss travel prices and costs. It can be heard on various stations throughout Canada. “We’re on satellite, we’re on cable, we’re on CBC News World, and we’re syndicated five days a week,” McVean says.
Press releases may focus on “anything that people would be interested in where travel is concerned,” she says. This includes “anything unusual, if we can work it into travel,” she adds. Pitch her by e-mail or postal mail. A follow-up call is welcome.
Catherine McVean is vice president of the Trips ‘N Tips Radio Network. Her husband and co-host, Bill McVean, serves as president. The network does not have a dedicated Web site.
