Timothy Pade covers golf resorts and tournaments in the desert region of the United States. This includes Palm Springs, Calif.; Tucson and Phoenix, Ariz.; and Santa Fe and Albuquerque, N.M., as well as the mountain region, which includes locations in and around Colorado. He also covers affluent lifestyle topics such as luxury automobiles, food and wine, fashion, jewelry, resorts and travel.
Press releases and story ideas should be “specific to golf and specific to the region that we cover,” Pade says. “It would have to be pertinent to the focus of each issue.” Pade must be contacted by phone and demonstrate an interest in the pitch before an e-mail can be sent to him. Stories pitched to Desert Golf or Colorado Golf undergo a screening process before being published in the magazines; pitches should be made at least one month in advance.
Desert Golf Magazine and Colorado Golf Magazine are published five times per year. Issues appear every other month, beginning in March.
