Tim Kelly covers local and national news, particularly behind-the-scenes stories that appeal to the local audience. Kelly says he is looking for “stuff that is newsworthy for this area, for our demographics, for the kind of radio station we are, which is News/Talk.” He says topics are “wide open” and dependent upon the news of the day. However, special topics such as medicine and politics are discussed on other programs that deal with those specific issues. He accepts all pitches by fax or e-mail.

“Mornings with Steve and Tim,” hosted by Steve Leader and Tim Kelly, features local and national news, live traffic reports, weather, sports and guest interviews. It airs weekdays from 7 to 9 a.m. on WEEB-AM, a News/Talk/Sports station located in Southern Pines, N.C.
