Discovery Channel has promoted Paul Schur to the role of vice president of communications. He had previously served as senior director of publicity for the network since joining in August 2012. Prior to his time at the Discovery Channel, Schur spent time as public relations manager for CNN and director of media relations for FOX News Channel.
