The Associated Press welcomes Noreen Gillespie Connolly as deputy sports editor. In what some would call a stroke of luck, she will begin her new duties on March 17. Far from being green, Connolly has been with the AP for over a decade previously serving as deputy regional editor since 2008 where she covered both the south and central regions respectively. Before that she was an editor for the National Desk and a statehouse and education writer. You can keep updated on the latest sports news from the AP on Twitter.![]()
