Peter Lattman has been named deputy business editor for The New York Times. He previously was the media editor for the publication since November 2013. He has served as reporter for the Business Day section and DealBook blog since August 2010. Prior to this, he was a private equity reporter for The Wall Street Journal. Prior to that, he was a legal reporter for the online version and contributed to the Law Blog until February 2008. Before joining the site in December 2005, he was a business reporter at Forbes magazine. Prior to becoming a journalist, Lattman was a litigator at a law firm and worked on Wall Street.
