Jennifer Preston, senior editor at The New York Times, announced that she is leaving the paper to take on the role of vice president of journalism at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. She will begin her new role on October 20. Also, deputy business editor and chief enterprise editor David Gillen announced that he will leave The New York Times for Bloomberg News on November 10. There, he will serve as executive editor, news enterprise.
