In the wake of ongoing restructuring in the newsroom that required all employees to reapply for jobs, several staffers have decided to part ways with the Des Moines Register. Editorial page editor Randy Evans will step down from his post in December; he had been with the Register since 1974. Bryce Miller, sports columnist since August 2012, will also depart after nearly 15 years with the paper. Lastly, news reporter Sharyn Jackson will exit, and is rumored to be heading to the Star Tribune in Minneapolis.
