Cision Blog regrets to inform its readers that reporter John Slattery has passed away. Slattery joined New York’s WCBS-TV in October 1984. Before joining the station, he served as a general assignment correspondent for WABC-TV.

Slattery received recognition for his work in his years of reporting including an Emmy Award. He covered a wide range of award-winning stories, such as the crash of US Air Flight 5050, the December 1994 subway explosion, and the blizzard of February 11, 1994.
